Maker Faire extravaganza Singapore 2017 @ Science Centre. Launched by Mr Vivian Balakrishnan ( Minister of Foreign Affaires) . An amazing experience for us to be a maker. Proud to receive a 'Maker of Merit ' Award for innovative idea. It is a family-friendly event showcasing interesting, wacky and fun projects in science, art, craft, engineering and technology. It also allows to exchange ideas with their creators. 
We conducted an interesting workshop on 'Chemistry of Paints'. Organic paints usually have three components: pigment, binder and medium. The pigments are powdered forms of colour and need a binding element to hold it together. The medium for the paints is water to allow painting on paper surfaces. 
For the first time, participants  had an opportunity to create their own organic paints and masterpiece as part of the creative workshop using everyday materials available at home and in kitchen.
